Brief
to create a promotional poster for album Ocean in a drop of Gogo Penguin, and advertise it on Facebook, and Instagram in Montreal. Gogo Penguin’s jazz is very fast paced and modern jazz, therefore to create an album cover to catch its vibrant rhythm.
Poster Design
The typography was cut digitally to show the dynamic vibrant of the ocean. Also, a Sponge bath was used in a scanner to create a wavy texture that would represent the ripple of the ocean.
To catch the mainstream of the album, listening to the album all the time. Gogo Penguin creates a wavy texture that ranges from ocean drop to a very dynamic city. Also, according to the poet Rumi in the 16th century: “You are not a drop in the ocean; you are the entire ocean in a drop” is the hint to create this poster.
